Special thanks to our wonderful musician friends: Linda Binder, Heitor Garcia and Julien Labro; to the folks at RBJ Productions: Ron Jacobson, John Slywa, Louis Paskalides and L. Thank you everyone for your friendship and support on this project which marks our eleventh year as Dois no Choro.
Asa Branca by Luiz Gonzaga is a beautiful song with lyrics that describe the disastrous drought in sertão, the vast arid interior of the northeastern Brazil. The title also refers to a type of dove (Columba picazuro), which according to local belief, is the last bird to abandon the sertão during droughts.
